K-WINGS ANNOUNCE MULTIPLE TRANSACTIONS
Kalamazoo goaltender Jonathan Lemiuex recalled from loan by Abbotsford (AHL), and defenseman Theo Calvas has been traded to Maine for future considerations.
KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced Tuesday that goaltender Jonathan Lemieux has been recalled from his loan to Kalamazoo by Abbotsford (AHL) and defenseman Theo Calvas has been traded to the Maine Mariners for future considerations.
Lemieux, 23, appeared in 27 games this season for the K-Wings, posting a 2.81 goals against average and .913 save percentage for a 9-15-1-0 record with one shutout.
The Saint-Hyacinthe, QC native will make his AHL debut if called upon by the Canucks.
Calvas, 26, appeared in 22 games for Kalamazoo this season, scoring one goal and four assists with two penalty minutes.
The Southfield, MI native has totaled 14 goals and 45 assists in 231 games across parts of seven seasons in his ECHL career. Calvas reached the Kelly Cup Finals last season with Kansas City.
