K-WINGS LOCK IN DEFENSEMAN NOEL EDFELDT FOR 2026-27
Kalamazoo signs Swedish defenseman Edfeldt to 2026-27 roster.
KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, announced Tuesday that the team has signed defenseman Noel Edfeldt to a Standard Player Contract (SPC) for the 2026-27 season.
Edfeldt, 23, is a 5-foot 11-inch, 180-pound, Ånge, Sweden native entering his third season of professional hockey by ECHL standards and his fifth season as a professional overall. Last season, the defenseman notched five points (2g, 3a) in 47 games played for Östersunds IK (HockeyAllsvenskan). Edfeldt has also played parts of three seasons (2021-24) for Timrå IK (SHL), appearing in 72 games in that span.
“I’m really excited to put on the K-Wings jersey and be a part of the team,” Edfeldt said. “Going to be fun to get to know the teammates and all the fans.”
In total, the left-shot has appeared in 106 HockeyAllsvenkan games across four seasons for Timrå IK (2020-21 | HockeyAllsvenskan) and Östersunds IK (2022-23, 2024-26), notching 11 points (3g, 8a) in that span.
Kalamazoo will continue releasing player signings until the start of training camp this October. Single-Game tickets and the team’s promotional schedule are slated to release in early September with the Home Opener scheduled for October 30 at 7 p.m. ET versus the Toledo Walleye.
