K-WINGS ACQUIRE ROTH AND MORE FROM EVERBLADES & SETTLE FUTURES
KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Wednesday that rookie forward Kobe Roth and future considerations have been acquired from the Florida Everblades in exchange for forward Logan Lambdin, and rookie defenseman Robert Calisti has been loaned to the K-Wings by the Charlotte Checkers (AHL).
The reassignment of Calisti satisfies the future considerations portion of the February 18 trade between Florida and Kalamazoo.
Roth, 26, is a Mason City, IA native and hits the scoresheet with 13 goals, 12 assists and 25 penalty minutes in 51 games played for the Everblades this season, ranking No. 6 in Florida’s team scoring this season.
The 5-foot 9-inch, rookie, is a former Minnisota-Duluth standout, a two-time NCAA National Champion (2017-18, 2018-19), a two time NCAA (NCHC) Champion (2018-19, 2021-22) and was team captain for the Bulldogs in his senior season (2021-22). Roth scored 54 goals, amassed 43 assists and totaled 10 penalty minutes in 176 games played.
Calisti, 22, scored 10 goals with 14 assists and 33 penalty minutes in 42 games played for Florida this season. The defenseman leaves Florida No. 10 in team scoring with two power-play goals and one game-winner.
The 5-foot 9-inch, Toronto, ON native played just over three seasons with the Soo Greyhounds (OHL) from 2017-2022, scoring 41 goals with 69 assists and 137 penalty minutes in 195 games played. Calisti also earned a call-up to the AHL in 2020-21 with the Bellville Senators, notching one assist in one game played.
Lambdin, 27, departs Kalamazoo with two goals, four assists and five penalty minutes for the K-Wings this season in 10 games. He also scored four goals with nine assists and eight penalty minutes in 37 games for the Chicago Wolves (AHL) this year.
The 5-foot 8-inch, Wyandotte, MI native notched 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists) in 66 games last season as a rookie with the K-Wings after playing 140 games at Michigan State in college, scoring 22 goals and 29 assists with 91 penalty minutes.
