K-WINGS SIGN FORWARD STEPAN TIMOFEYEV FOR 2026-27
Kalamazoo adds fifth-year forward, Stepan Timofeyev, to the 2026-27 roster.
KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced Tuesday that forward Stepan Timofeyev has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) for the 2026-27 season.
Timofeyev is a 5-foot 9-inch, 190-pound, St. Petersburg, Russia native entering his fifth professional season. The forward played for both Greenville and Utah (38 gp) in 2025-26, notching 8 goals and 17 assists.
“I’m very excited to join the Wings family,” Timofeyev said. “I heard a lot of great things about the organization and it’s an honor to be a part of it. Can’t wait to meet the team and community.”
The right-shot broke into the ECHL with Norfolk in 2022-23, scoring 37 points (17g, 20a) in 43 games played. Timofeyev then spent parts of three seasons with the Admirals (2022-24) before the Swamp Rabbits acquired his rights in 2024. The forward also enjoyed a career-high in points scored (53) with Norfolk in 2023-24 (20g, 33a), and has scored 159 points (61g, 91a) in 198 ECHL games played across four seasons.
Prior to his time in the ECHL, Timofeyev spent parts of six seasons working his way up through the ranks of the FPHL (formerly FHL) and the SPHL.
Kalamazoo will continue releasing player signings until the start of training camp this October. Single-Game tickets and the team’s promotional schedule are slated to release in early September.

The K-Wings compete in the ECHL and are the AA affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks and the American Hockey League’s Abbotsford Canucks. Kalamazoo plays its 36 regular-season home games at Wings Event Center from October through April.
