K-WINGS GLOVER SELECTED TO 2024 ECHL/WARRIOR HOCKEY ALL-STAR CLASSIC
Kalamazoo’s Canucks loan impresses masses, earning all-star selection in second professional season.
KALAMAZOO, MI – The ECHL announced Wednesday that K-Wing’s forward Ty Glover (currently assigned to the Abbotsford Canucks / AHL) has been named the Kalamazoo Wings’ representative for the 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Gulfstream, to be hosted by the Savannah Ghost Pirates on Monday, Jan. 15 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Enmarket Arena.
The game will air LIVE exclusively on NHL Network and be streamed via FloHockey.
Glover, 23, is currently No. 2 in K-Wings scoring this season with 23 points (12g-11a) in just 15 ECHL games played. The Vancouver Canucks (NHL) product was recalled from his loan to Kalamazoo and reassigned to Abbotsford (AHL) on Dec. 14.
The 6-foot 3-inch, 201-pound, Salford, Great Britain native played collegiately at Western Michigan University (NCAA) and is in his second professional season. The forward has scored three points (1g-2a) in 15 games played with Abbotsford this season.
Glover was acquired by Vancouver via trade on October 17 and was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins in March 2022. Currently, Glover is set to be recognized at the All-Star game, as he is currently with Abbotsford, and no replacement has been selected.
The 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Gulfstream will consist of the host Savannah Ghost Pirates taking on a team of ECHL All-Stars representing the other teams in the League. The event also will feature several Skills events which will count as a goal towards the winning Player’s team score. The 2024 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition will take place between periods of the game, with results counting towards the cumulative score. The first two periods of the game will be 5-on-5 while the final period will consist of 3-on-3.
There have been 72 players from the ECHL All-Star Game have gone on to play in the National Hockey League, including 56 since 2002.
The roster for the ECHL All-Stars was determined in a vote of coaches, team captains, media relations directors, broadcasters and members of the media.

The 16th class of the ECHL Hall of Fame will be officially inducted at a luncheon, presented by BFL CANADA and Sutton Special Risk, on Monday, January 15 at 12:00 p.m. at the Savannah Convention Center. Tickets include a plated lunch in conjunction with the ECHL Hall of Fame ceremony and are on sale for $75 per person.

Formed in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 28 teams in 20 states and two Canadian provinces for its 36th season in 2023-24. There have been 744 players who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after starting their careers in the ECHL, including four who have made their NHL debuts in the 2023-24 season. The Kalamazoo Wings are a professional hockey team located in southwest Michigan that has been a staple in the Kalamazoo, MI professional sports landscape since 1974.
