Kalamazoo, MI.- Kalamazoo Wings forward Reid Gardiner has been recalled by the Utica Comets the organization announced on Wednesday morning.
Gardiner, 22, has netted five points (2g, 3a) in six games this season with the K-Wings. The forward signed with the Comets in July after a rookie campaign that saw the forward net 57 points (30g, 27a) in 58 games with the Wheeling Nailers. He also appeared in ten games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording three points (1g, 2a). Gardiner is the second player to earn a call-up to Utica this season, joining Jagger Dirk.
Kalamazoo is back in action on Friday for Affiliate Night, as the K-Wings host the Cyclones. The weekend continues with a trip to Ft. Wayne on Saturday, before returning home to host the Idaho Steelheads on Sunday afternoon.
